Our client approached us with a site and the goal of developing short term housing in support of the energy industry in northern BC.
Project Scope
We worked closely with our client and developed a solution to maximize the potential yield for the property while developing an architecture that also was contextual to the residential neighborhood it bordered. Smithcraft looked at solar impacts, zoning, local needs and client goals to develop the architectural expression.
The Result
While the result satisfied all the project needs, ultimately the municipality indicated that it might not support the design. This information allowed the client to make a go-no go decision regarding the purchase of the property. Smithcraft allows clients to get the information they need to make informed decisions.
